ICF Tech - ICF building system

High Insulation Building System

Insulated concrete forms (ICF) are a system of modular units that are dry stacked and filled with concrete to quickly and economically erect buildings with extremely high thermal efficiency and sustainable profiles.

The modular expanded polystyrene (EPS) forms can be cast-in-place and become a permanent part of an exterior wall, acting as highly efficient building insulation.

Building with ICFs dramatically reduces the time and cost of construction and offers huge advantages in energy saving, fire safety, thermal efficiency and acoustic performance.

electronic Brightworks assisted ICF Tech to computer model (CAD model) the EPS Forms and the plastic webs spanning between the Forms. Brightworks helped to optimise the parts for manufacture, designing cost out and improving strength and durability where possible.

Brightworks worked closely with ICF Tech to select the production materials and their with preferred manufacturing partners to finalise the part design. Brightworks also worked closely with other 3rd party specialists to computer model accelerated product aging and to simulate different load bearing scenarios to ensure longevity and absolute safety.

The system is designed to be used with proprietary cladding systems and slip systems, timber cladding or heavy clay tiles can be fixed to the Forms with ease.
