'FIT' is a device that is designed to quickly and securely attach an electronic tag to an offender's ankle.

The tool features a novel over-centre lever mechanism that locks the strap into the tag and simultaneously actives the tag to start electronically monitoring the offender.

'FIT' radically simplifies the tag fitting process providing ease of use and repeatability of installation. 'FIT' also rationalised G4S' product range by effectively replacing two products with just one.

The innovative over-centre mechanism went through several generations of test rigs and prototyping to optimise its performance and reliability.
